Dear Colleagues:
On behalf of Assistant Secretary for Career, Technical, and Adult Education Scott Stump, I am pleased to share an invitation letter and application for a nationwide initiative to support implementation of the new program quality indicators in the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V). The project is being conducted by our office in collaboration with contractors at the Manhattan Strategy Group.
As you will note in the invitation, the project work will proceed in two phases. Applications are currently being sought for Phase 1, with applications being due by next Friday, October 30.
Both State and local CTE staff, especially accountability specialists, are encouraged to apply. To that end, please forward this invitation letter and application to your State colleagues, as well as local program directors and staff.
If you have any questions regarding this initiative, please contact Jose Figueroa in our office at jose.figueroa@ed.gov or 202-245-6054.
Best –
Sharon Lee Miller
