Dear Colleagues —

We are pleased to announce that our office has worked with the White House team to host a CTE Convening tomorrow, June 30, entitled, Celebrating Innovations in Career and Technical Education (CTE). The event will celebrate students and educators for their work connecting the classroom to real-life career opportunities. First Lady Michelle Obama will headline the event and connect CTE to her REACH Higher initiative.

This event follows the release of an Executive Order (EO) expanding the U.S. Presidential Scholars program to establish a new category of outstanding scholars in CTE.  Information about the EO can be found here (PDF, 8 KB).

We will look forward to sharing outcomes and next steps from the convening.
