Dear Colleagues —
This month, we are pleased to highlight a new resource from our Advancing Career and Technical Education (CTE) in State and Local Career Pathways Systems national activities project. This OCTAE initiative, a three-year contract managed by Jobs for the Future (JFF), provides technical assistance to assist five states – Colorado, Kansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Oregon – in building their capacity to integrate CTE Programs of Study (POS) into their broader career pathways system development efforts. Participating states are working with their assigned coach and other subject matter experts to implement their action plan and achieve their goals.
As one deliverable under this project, JFF has developed an Integrated Model for Career Pathways System Alignment, which explains why and how POS should be integrated into broader career pathways system development efforts at the state and local level. JFF has been using the Integrated Model as the foundation for its technical assistance activities under this project. This resource is available under “What’s New,” as well as under the National Initiatives section of our Web site. We encourage you to use this resource in your own POS and career pathways system development efforts.
Best —
