Dear Colleagues —
We are pleased to announce the release of the publication, “State Strategies for Financing Career and Technical Education,” developed by the Department’s National Center for Career and Technical Education (NCICTE) housed at RTI International. The publication draws on data collected from a National Association for State Directors of Career Technical Education Consortium (NASDCTEc) survey, as well as a review of state educational agency websites and statutory language to identify whether, and if so, how states distribute categorical funds for CTE programs. It also documents states’ performance-based funding (PBF) strategies and their interest in integrating competitive funding into their state education resource distribution formulas. The full report is available under “What’s New,” as well as on the NCICTE Website at: http://ctecenter.ed.gov/research/finance
We are also pleased to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a happy Thanksgiving!
Best —
Sharon Lee Miller
