Dear Colleagues —
On Tuesday, April 26, 2016, the Department of Education announced the availability of just over $3 million in funding for round two of the Performance Pilot Partnership (P3) program. A collaboration among seven Federal agencies, the P3 program enables pilot sites to test innovative, outcome-focused strategies to achieve significant improvements in educational, employment, and other key outcomes for disconnected youth using new flexibility to blend existing Federal funds and to seek waivers of associated program requirements.
The Department expects to award approximately 10 new awards for up to a 3 year period. Interested applicants are asked, but not required, to submit a notice of intent to apply by May 26, 2016. Applications are due on June 27, 2016. The full notice inviting applications is available at: https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2016/04/26/2016-09748/applications-for-new-awards-performance-partnership-pilots
Please note that Federal agency representatives will host a Bidder’s Conference for round two P3 grants on May 9 at 1:00 pm Eastern time. You may register for the session at http://youth.gov/youth-topics/reconnecting-youth/performance-partnership-pilots/round-2-bidders-conference-registration.
If you would like further information on the P3 program, please contact Marilyn Fountain at Marilyn.Fountain@ed.gov or Rosanne Andre at Rosanne.Andre@ed.gov.
