Skills on Purpose – Creating the Next Generation of Manufacturers Webinar #3

Career Pathways in Manufacturing – Rethinking the Pipeline with the End in Mind

Career pathways are based in the coordination of efforts between colleges, schools, and employers to assure the skill needs of the workforce. By avoiding haphazard approaches, pathway programs put in place a coherent, articulated sequence of rigorous academic and career-technical courses—secondary to postsecondary that support career development for individuals, and fuel the growth of industry. This webinar highlighted the process of constructing effective career pathway programs in the manufacturing sector.

Presenters:

  • Debbie Mills, Vice President, Director, National Career Pathways Network
  • Libby Livings-Eassa, Founding Partner, the Divergent Group
  • Ann Ifekwunigwe, Career Pathways Supervisor, Newport News Public Schools
